5 Tips for Better Skin

Our skin goes through many phases as we age, sometimes they're great and sometimes.. well, not so great. Here are 5 easy tips to combat breakouts and keep your skin healthy no matter what phase your life you're in!

  1. Wash your makeup brushes once a week. Yes, I know it's kind of a pain but it's so, so important! Makeup brushes are a breeding group for bacteria and oils that contribute to breakouts more than almost anything else. Here is the tool I use to clean my brushes that actually makes it fun and dries them much faster:

  2. Speaking of washing...throw your pillow case in the washer once a week too. It holds dust, mites, bacteria and more cringe worthy yuckies!

  3. Clean your phone case with an antibacterial wipe daily. I'm sure you've heard it before, but in case you haven't, our phones are dirtier than a public toilet seat. YEAH. Use speakerphone whenever possible and never press your phone against your cheek while talking on it.

  4. Adopt a daily skin care routine that includes a gentle cleanser and a moisturizer with spf. I love the drugstore brand Cerave! The products are affordable and effective!

  5. Never. Ever. WEAR YOUR MAKEUP TO BED! I was guilty of doing this for YEARS and noticed my skin improve QUICKLY when I committed to taking it off every night a few years ago. No matter how much I've had to drink during a night out, the habit is so engrained in me that I wills stumble through the routine if I must but that makeup is coming off!

Here are a few of my favorite skin care products:

Satin Pillowcase:

Makeup brush cleaning device:

Cerave Spf moisturizer and cleanser:

Makeup removing cloths:
